flora [italian prog][musicrequest]

Italian band FLORA was formed in 1998 by Paolo Nicastro (vocals, guitars) and Fabrizio Lusitani (guitars). The band didn't have a stable line-up in this initial phase, 
but managed to score their first demo "Angosce in posa B" back then. Sometime after this initial demo Michele Tizzoni (drums), 
Antonio Amodeo (bass) and Leonardo Andreoli (clarinet, saxophone) joined, and in 2001 this line-up of Flora recorded their second demo "Signor Psiche".

An active live unit all along, Flora combined live performances and recording sessions for the next year or so, and in 2002 they released their official debut album "Fili Distanti". 
Sometime after this Amodo quits the band, and rather than replacing him Paolo Nicastro takes over the role as bassist. But come 2005 and the line-up is expanded again with Pietro Belatrami (keyboards), 
and this new version of Flora records "Flora" the very same year, released on Italian label Lizard Records.

Four years later some additional line-up alterations have taken place. Andreoli have left, replaced by Pina Muresu (saxophone), and Claudia Nicastro (vocals, glockenspiel) have joined. 
This revitalized version of Flora release "Traiettorie di Volano", again on Lizard Records in 2009. Three years later they release their fourth official album (and their sixth recording overall 
if you include their initial demos) "Sei" on Italian label Lizard Records.
