2K Games announced today the latest downloadable content for Mafia 2, their (somewhat controversial) period gangster game released last month. 

Titled "Joe's Adventures," this latest story-driven DLC puts players in control of Joe Barbaro, the childhood friend of Mafia 2 main character Vito Scaletta. The DLC takes place while Vito is in prison, and 2K Games promises an "dramatic storyline" and "intense arcade-style" action -- which is to say, you'll accumulate points while completing the new missions, and there will be an online leaderboard to compare your score with friends. 

The DLC will also add new content, including new areas of Empire Bay (like a train station, cathouse, and boat yard) and new clothing and music.
