Description :
This is converted using the newest methods available today.
Dolby Prologic II x/z is a proven technology and therefore also standard on most Home Theatre Systems.
There are however two advantages with upmixes like these.
1) The different levels (Front, Center, Rears) are corrected in a way that the surround experience will be optimized.
2) The reference software decoding will have a maximum quality.
Some DSP in (cheaper) HTS are simply not that good.
Dolby Prologic II will sound very natural and clear as the original Stereo CD.
No addition (personal) enhancements, boosting or delays are applied.

Additional Info :
The values M, C and S are not boosting the sound as some persons need to emphasize!
Therefore this description ;
M) Master Gain is a linear volume adjustment of the complete input (original CD).
It is in fact the same as adjusting the volume of your A/V-Receiver.
It will be set to maximize the full dynamic range (96dB) and therefore the max. peak level will be close to 0dB.
Most often it will be negative value because of the adaptive DPL II upmix method.
C) Centre Weight is used to equally spread the front sound to the three L,C, R speakers.
The value 33% is in fact 1/3L, 1/3C an 1/3R.
Depending of the music, a lot of mono sound (lead singer) or a lot of separation it can be corrected slightly.
Most often 33% is just fine. The complete (front) sound will remain as original.
Please note that this is a complete different adjustment than often used with plogue.
With with most Plogue methods the sound is split into 3 channels LCR.
There after the individual levels (LCR) are measured and adjusted.
If the centre is too loud compared to L,R this is often corrected.
This means that the lead singer (and other centre sound) will have a lower level than original!?
S) Surround level is to balance the front/back sound.
Of course this will effect the original sound, but keep in mind we do add surround.
That's the whole idea of this all ;)
Depending on the kind of music less or more surround is added.
