What happens if one is witnessing a terrible crime, and is becoming a victim himself?

A young beautiful woman is found dead in Gota and on her finger she wears a diamond fitted wedding ring belonging to someone else.  Detective Inspector Irene Huss and her colleagues are put on the case and get immediately a problem. An autopsy shows that the cause of death is not drowning, but a head injury. Who is she? She is not missing, no one can identify her, no one knows anything. While in a run-down barracks area sits a battered husband who broods on a terrible secret...
