Creedence Clearwater Revival Was Founded In El Cerito, California by brothers John and Tom Fogerty along with fellow schoolfriends Doug Clifford and Stu Cook.
They were originally kmown as The Golliwogs but changed their name again in 1967 to Creedence Clearwater Revival (C.C.R) in time for their first successes, 'Proud Mary', 'Bad Moon Rising' and 'Green River' which are all included on this release.
This amazing collection features ten of their most famous worldwide hits including 'Born On The Bayou', 'Down On The Corner', 'Keep On Chooglin', 'Travelin Band', 'Sweet Hitch Hiker', 'Lookin' Out My Back Door' and 'Fortunate Son'.
Their amazing run of success worldwide culminated in them being voted the worlds top group in 1970/71, ahead of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
