TRANSITIONS, the World's First 3D Large Format Film.

TRANSITIONS is an entertaining and magical 3D look at the dynamic world of transportation and communications. The 3D images are fantastic: you visit a toy factory where an assembly line of Teddy Bears float within reach, an egg breaks on to your lap and you have to duck a large piece of lumber rolling off a sawmill conveyor belt. 

This was the world's first Imax® 3D movie, using a spectacular 3D process developed by the National Film Board of Canada in conjunction with IMAX® Corporation. Produced for the Canadian Pavilion at Vancouver's EXPO '86, Transitions is now known as the ancestor of three-dimensional entertainment as we know it.

Directly after the attraction I have included a bonus feature of "The Making of Transitions" a 2D documentary with director Colin Low's unique insight into the challenges of shooting a three dimensional movie.
