Eaton combines folk, pop and country elements with his warm vocals, heartfelt lyrics and a hint of Australian twang to create a somewhat self-indulgent album.

It is very well produced and draws on pedal-steel instead of synth to give it the generic commercial appeal that seems to be compulsory these days.

Despite the occasional upbeat cheesy pop song, most of this album is very drawn-out. The contrasts between stripped back vocal line, then full band becomes predictable.

These contrived and unoriginal love songs, although intended to be beautiful, when played one on top of the other unfortunately become whiny and frustrating.
