Writer-director Luane Beck explores the difficulties and ethics of sexuality in her debut film INTENTIONS. University professor Renee Higgins is happily married with children. Her passion is the theater, and while directing the university's latest play she meets openly lesbian student Eve. Both take an instant liking for each other, and after a few meetings Renee finds herself having an affair with the younger woman. When the affair becomes public knowledge, Renee must deal with the consequences to her private life as well as the effect on her public reputation and the ethical questions that arise. Unexpected romance finds both characters, but is their love worth the heavy price that will have to be paid?
