The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol is an CGI/live-action hybrid segment that will be released with The Smurfs movie in a 3 disc Blu-Ray/DVD bundle. The special takes place in the Smurf Forest and will feature Hefty Smurf as one of the primary characters. It will be the first Smurf-related Christmas special produced since "'Tis The Season To Be Smurfy".

Story
It is likely to be an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol with Grouchy Smurf playing a role similar to Ebenezer Scrooge, while Smurfette, Brainy, and Hefty play the respective roles of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. It will feature a mix of CGI animation, live-action and flash animation.
