Very well produced - by Diego Gale - live performance from veteran salsa singer Pedro Arroyo. Direct from Discoteca Jala Jala in Calí, Colombia, the svelte singer performed to a packed house who hung on to his every word. And he cooked. Arroyo, backed by the Gale machine, has never sounded better. he used to sing with the Rubby Haddock's orquesta, and then developed a major career in salsa romantica. Later, he was to sing with Guayacan (on the CD X Tremo) which brought him back to the fore. Here I expected a smoother, more romantic set, but what I got was an impressive, totally solid and, in-the-pocket, fiery salsa session con ganas. Included are his hits "Te Dejo Libre," "Cantare Con Una Orquesta," "Tu Quieres Mas," "Amarte A Ti" and many others.
