Anderson .Paak begon als drummer bij American Idol, deed mee op 6 nummers van Dr. Dre’s Compton en The Game’s Documentary 2.5 en komt nu met zijn tweede plaat: Malibu.De uit Los Angeles afkomstige hip-hop producer, rapper en zanger heeft op dit solo album hulp gekregen van o.a. The Game en ScHoolboy Q. Eerste single The Season / Carry Me ging in première bij Dr. Dre’s Beats 1 show The Pharmacy, tweede single Am I Wrong (ft. ScHoolboy Q) kwam eind 2015 uit en was al Single Van De Week bij 3FM.
