FIVE-O-ONE AM biography
Underground Dutch Neo Prog band, which apparently had a short-lived career through the 90's, the starting five being Edu Arde on vocals and saxophone, Jan Pezie on keyboards and backing vocals, Rich Reinders on guitars, Bas de Vries on drums and Robert Dupre on bass.In 1994 they released independently the EP ''The circle'' with Esmira Klaster providing additional vocals on the title-track.The unusual use of saxophone in the Neo Prog style of the band was certainly pretty genuine.This EP opened the doors for a more professional recording with Five-O-One AM signing a contract with Music Is Intelligence and releasing the full-length album ''21st Century Dream'' in 1996.At the time de Vries and Dupre had been replaced by Rob Ekkelenkamp and B.J. Kramer respectively.Esmira Klaster was again among the participants along with saxophonist Heinz-Dieter Sauerborn and singer Andy Kopp.As with many bands of the era Five-O-One AM remained widely unknown to the public and it appears that they dissolved sometime in the 90's.

Interesting Neo Prog with flashy keyboards and great guitar work, recommended to anyone after NO NAME, MARILLION, COLLAGE and the likes.
