Reference Tracker v1 6 2

Reference Tracker is an indispensable tool for writers, researchers or students. It creates documents that store all the citations and references in an essay, research project or book. It automatically creates Harvard, APA, MLA or Chicago/Turabian formatted reference lists to insert into your writing when needed.

But what makes Reference Tracker so valuable is that there is no need to tediously type out all the details of a referenced book - just give Reference Tracker the book's ISBN and it will fetch all the details from the internet! If you don't have the book to hand, just type keywords into Reference Tracker's built in publication search. You will get a list of matching results which you can add to your reference list with a single click!

If you are referencing an online resource or a website, Reference Tracker can pull all the details out of Safari or Firefox with just one click! Likewise, if you have an email you need to reference, one click in Reference Tracker will pull all the details from Mail.

If you have exisiting Reference Lists in a word processor document, Reference Tracker's intelligent formatted list importer can read Microsoft Word or RTF documents and pull all the references into your Reference Tracker document. In addition Reference Tracker can also import BibTex (.bib) and .ris files generated from websites or other referencing software.

Reference Tracker can send your formatted reference list directly to the end of you word processing document. The dynamic 'Send To' menu will show you a list of your open documents in Microsoft Word, Apple's Pages and Nisus Writer Pro and with one click you can append your formatted list to the end of an open document, or create a new document with the contents of the list.

Your Harvard or APA formatted reference list can be edited and printed directly within Reference Tracker. It can also be exported to a Microsoft Word (.doc), document, a Rich Text (.rtf) document, a plain text (.txt) file, or a webpage (.html). If you want to get your formatted list into another word processor or application that does not support these file types, you can just copy and paste the list using the OS X clipboard. Reference Tracker can also export documents to BibTex (.bib) and RIS (.ris) files.

Reference Tracker has great looking built in sticky notes. If you want to add comments or notes to your references, Reference Tracker has the ability to add as many sticky notes to your references as you like. You can drag your notes around the the display for each of your references and position them wherever you like.
