Total NBA '98 is the second installment in the NBA ShootOut series. The game can be played either as a fast-action arcade game, or as a detailed simulation with realistic features like fatigue and play calling. You can use all sorts of real moves like crossovers and pump fakes to penetrate the defense and finish it off with a variety of rim-rattling dunks. Players can go it alone or take on a friend in the Versus mode. A unique feature of Total NBA '98 is the icon-passing system, which allows you to pass to a specific teammate at any given time. This takes the guesswork out of the passing game and lets you run your offense just like the pros.
