Dit is het eerste deel van de "Neil Young Archives" box-sets, geproduceerd door Neil Young zelf. Deze set beslaat de periode van zijn eerste opnames, met The Squires in Winnipeg in 1963, tot even na de klassieker "Harvest", incl. studio- en livetracks met de legendarische Buffalo Springfield; Crosby Stills, Nash & Young; en Neil Young met Crazy Horse.

De archives worden uitgegeven op Blue Ray, DVD en CD.
Deze post omvat het geluid van de Blue-Rays. Dat zijn feitelijk 10 schijven, maar één schijf bevat de film "Journey To The Past", waarvan door het weglaten van het beeld weinig zinvols zou over blijven. Dit zit er dan ook niet bij.
Deze post omvat dus 9 discs uit de box, en een pdf van het 236 pagina's tellende boek met uniek archief-materiaal

Trouwens: Volume 2 van de serie box-sets is nog niet uitgekomen...
