ANGLERS at Makins Fishery will be looking to see in the New Year in style, by winning a new silver fish-only match being hosted at the Warwickshire complex on December 30.

The Dynamite Baits-backed event is in response to anglers wishing to target the quality roach and skimmers on the venue, as anglers have been weighing in over 30lb of them in recent events.

Depending on numbers the match will be fished over several lakes, Lake One, Lake Two, Lake Four, Lizzard and Lagoon. Phase One will be given priority for pegs and Phase Two will only be used if there’s over 70 anglers.

The draw will take place at 8am in Phase One Car Park and fishing will commence at 10am, finishing at 3pm.

The rules are very simple; no bloodworm and joker, barbless hooks only and no carp to count!
