Post Description
A beacon for UK club culture, The Gallery is Britain’s premier house and trance night. In 2010 it celebrates its 15th birthday – that’s 15 years of amazing parties, spirited hedonism, and more than 7 million collective hangovers.
In addition to a series of events at Ministry of Sound (now its London home) and a UK and international club tour, The Gallery will release a triple CD album to put an aural stamp on the celebrations. Step-up, then, Sander van Doorn, Tall Paul, and Gavyn Mitchell, who have each taken a CD to provide a bespoke mix of their own Gallery anthems from the past decade and a half.
‘The Gallery 15 Years’ features tracks and remixes by Moby, Underworld, Vitalic, Sasha, Nathan Fake, Tomcraft, Kris Menace, Spektrum, Eric Prydz, X Press 2, Dave Clarke, Humate, Salt Tank, Armin van Buuren and many more. These are the cuts that have rocked the club’s faithful crowd; most of which were given their first airing in front of The Gallery’s passionate devotees and have since reverberated across the world to become classic dancefloor moments.
A weekly event that is driven by its loyal devotees, and created by those who believe passionately in what they do, The Gallery embodies a vision of clubbing that isn"t often found in the capital, with a spirit that makes the dancefloor almost ***le with potent energy.
Never afraid to push new musical boundaries, something promoter Danny Newman believes is key to its success, The Gallery holds a central UK role in introducing new styles and fresh talent, as well as giving its loyal crowd the biggest DJ line-ups. From house to electro to breaks, trance and techno – all genres play their part at London’s ultimate club experience.
Moving from its legendary home Turnmills in 2008 to the world famous Ministry of Sound, The Gallery continues to set the standards others aspire to follow. One of the few remaining weekly club nights to have survived the test of time The Gallery continues to fly the dance music flag in the capital. With a host of international residents including Markus Schulz, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander van Doorn and Martin Roth as well as main residents Tall Paul, Sister Bliss, Judge Jules, Gavyn Mytchel, The Viceroy and Tania von Pear, the future is looking as strong as the past.
