Clinton Darryl "Clint" Mansell, (born 7 January 1963) is an English musician, composer, and former lead singer and guitarist of the band Pop Will Eat Itself.
After the disbanding of Pop Will Eat Itself in 1996, Mansell was introduced to film scoring when director Darren Aronofsky hired him to score his debut film, π.[1] Mansell then wrote the score for Aronofsky's next film, Requiem for a Dream, which has been well received. Its main composition "Lux Aeterna" has become extremely popular, appearing in a wide variety of advertisements and film trailers.
Mansell's composition for The Fountain was nominated for Best Original Score at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards. His other notable filmscores include Moon, Smokin' Aces, The Wrestler, and Black Swan.

United is a British television film directed by James Strong and written by Chris Chibnall. It is based on the true story of Manchester United's "Busby Babes" and the aftermath of the 1958 Munich air disaster, with the film's events taking place between August 1956 and May 1958. In particular, the film focuses on the experiences of assistant manager Jimmy Murphy, played by David Tennant, and Bobby Charlton, played by Jack O'Connell.
Largely filmed around the North East of England, the film was first broadcast on 24 April 2011 on BBC Two and BBC HD, but is being sold internationally as a theatrical picture by Content Media Corp. The series gained a 14.3% rating in its time slot and was generally well received by television critics.

 Wat is New Age muziek?
Dit is niet 1,2,3 uit te leggen. Kort gezegd komt het hier op neer:
New Age music is an umbrella term for various downtempo music intended to create artistic inspiration, relaxation, and optimism. It is used by listeners for yoga, massage, meditation, and reading as a method of stress management or to create a peaceful atmosphere in their home or other environments, and is often associated with environmentalism and New Age spirituality.

Characteristics of New Age Music
Looking at the various definitions, one can identify the following common attributes of New Age music. 
- It is gentle, melodic, light, sereneand peaceful, 
- has a calming effect on its listeners,
- combines electronic and acoustic elements and instruments,
- is influenced by folk, jazz, ambient music, classical music, world music and nature.

New Age muziek is een brede stijl waar veel muziek onder te plaatsen valt. Er is een groot grijs gebied.  Sommige sites benoemen bepaalde muziek New Age, andere niet. Sommige hekelen de link naar New Age om verschillende redenen (geloof,  overtuigingen als zweverig etc)
Ik probeer verschillende stijlen muziek te plaatsen waarvan het grootste gedeelte onder New Age valt. Plaats ik eens een cd die er wellicht iets vanaf wijkt (in uw mening) of er niet onder valt, prima. Geniet van de muziek want daarom spot ik.
