Post Description
Basically, Rosa Carne is the best album of Clã and surprisingly quite different from what they have done since its release.
Their previous album, Lustro, had been a commercial hit as a result of ?Sopro do Coração? radio-friendliness. They showed themselves to the whole country and the number of fans grew up vertiginously. In spite of the hype, Lustro confirmed interesting and promising developments; for instance, ?Fahrenheit? is a hard-rock hymn to Summer Music Events, which displays an endless and infectious energy.
However, and opportunely, Clã chose to follow the opposite way, in fact the hardest but the right one, too. Rosa Carne is a mature album, full of beautiful details, atmospheric, sensual, feminine aesthetically and perfect lyrically. Seldom does pop achieve this perfectionism. Moreover, Manuela Azevedo's voice is more melodic and pleasant than ever: she's simply divine.
Highlights:
01 - "Competência para Amar", the first single, is the most atmospheric and enchanting track of the whole album. Violins, Manuela Azevedo?s voice, an ambiance that resembles Portishead and Amalia?s samples fill the lounge so magically?
02 - "Fio de Ariane" is haunting and some kind of bewitching; eclectic and peculiar lyrics.
03 - "Madalena em Contrição" and 12 ? "Crime Passional" are probably the most perfectly produced and arranged songs they ever made; sensual lyrics; the atmosphere resembles a brothel.
07 - "Carrossel dos Esquisitos": a simple but perfect pop song.
If you like Archer Prewitt and tri-hop, you will surely like Rosa Carne.
Als Rodrigo Leão een ontdekking voor je was, moet je deze zeker proberen.
