This fantastic DVD stars Tom Jones. This unique collection demonstrate the breadth of Jones' talent as showcased on Smash Hits and also features memorable Duets with a host of great artists. Featured performers include Dionne Warwick, Deniece Williams, Isaac Hayes, and Paul Anka.

With his deep, rich voice and undeniable sex appeal, Welsh singer Tom Jones ruled the pop charts of the 1960s and early '70s, when his Vegas-style swagger made him a major concert attraction and the target of the passionately flung underwear of excited female fans. Since then, Jones has expanded his pop palette with unusual but well-chosen collaborations with artists as varied as Prince, Art of Noise, Randy Newman, and Wyclef Jean. This collection celebrates both phases of Jones's career with two remarkable programs: SMASH HITS, which captures the sexy Welshman live in concert as he revisits such classics as "Delilah," "What's New Pussycat," and "She's a Lady; and DUETS, which features musical pairings with Dionne Warwick, Deniece Williams, Isaac Hayes, Paul Anka, Gladys Knight, and more.

The master for this DVD was edited from the Tom Jones TV programmes made in North America in 1981. The sound for the 26 programmes was recorded on multi-track tape and the mix was laid back to the stereo video masters. There is some differences in the sound quality of the various chapters. The footage is of a high quality except for one passage in chapter 14 whish has been included in the programme for historic reasons.
