Post Description

The lights dimmed again, the crowd went crazy and a short video of Keith talking about his new album began playing on a large screen that had been set up on stage. In just a few seconds, the main monkey himself walked across the darkened stage. Then things got really loud. The set started with Keith's new single, "Once In A Lifetime." This song has to be heard live to be fully appreciated. It's a great, up lifting, fast paced song to begin with but add one of the hottest guitar solos I've ever heard to the mix and it's even better in concert.

Keith went on to "Days Go By" and then began talking about some new music. The crowd was loud and ready but Keith had to get a little teasing in on us. The intro music was new, the song an older favorite, an acoustical version of "Raining on Sunday." Now I've been to a ton of concerts before but I've never heard a crowd sing along so loud.

Finally the teasing was over and the brand new music began with a song called, "Stupid Boy." Beautiful harmonies, a slower melody and a great guitar solo towards the end, make this one that's sure to be a huge hit for Keith if released as a single. "I Told You So" was next and then Keith went on to tell the crowd he wanted to share how most songs are worked on. He let the recorder play the rift and his humming along with the beat before he and the band broke into the finished song, "Faster Car." The next new song shared was called, "Shine".

Continuing on with former hits we heard, "Making Memories of Us," "You'll Think Of Me," "Better Life," and "Somebody Like You." Keith thanked the audience for a great night and left the stage. As the crowd began a slow chant of Keith, Keith, Keith, stage hands were hurrying along setting up for the next song, "Got It Right This Time." Keith performed this one from a piano decorated with small lamp and few candles and a soothing blue light for a backdrop.

Keith finished the show with "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me" but went on to play Steve Miller's, "The Joker". The crowd loved it as Keith gave each band member their own time for solo's and the audience a chance to sing along to this very popular, oldie but goodie.
