Pink Floyd is een Engelse rockband die vroege erkenning kreeg voor zijn psychedelische rockmuziek. De groep evolueerde tot pioniers van de progressieve rock en symfonische muziek. Pink Floyd is bekend door zijn filosofische songteksten, klassieke rockcomposities, experimenten met geluid, grafisch en artistiek vernieuwende hoesontwerpen en niet in de laatste plaats door vele spectaculaire live-concerten.
