More than 10 years ago, late wildlife author and bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell escaped into the Alaskan wilderness to live among nature 
and found himself surrounded by grizzly bears. 
Every summer thereafter, he made a pilgrimage to Alaska"s Katmai National Park, spending four months at a time – with little to no protection – on his own in bear country.

Follow Treadwell on one of his last jaunts to Katmai as he keeps his yearly appointment with North America"s most feared predator.
Armed with only a video camera, he lives in close contact with the magnificent animals while recording the secrets of their daily lives. 
Watch as he comes face to face with an 850-pound adult, greets a mother and her cub, and witnesses a fierce turf war between rival grizzly clans.
