In the following instrumental pieces the solo instrument is the 1976 Marcussen Organ of St. Jacob"s Church, Stockholm:

- 3 Rhapsodies sur des cantiques bretons were influenced by the composer"s visit to the Brittany region, where he experienced the local religious celebration "Pardon". (BBC Music Magazine: outstanding).

- Three Fantasies are included: Fantasy in E flat is most remarkable for its charming melodies; Fantasy in D flat was dedicated to the Queen Elisabeth of Romania; Fantasy in C is far freer than the other two, one could almost call it rhapsodic.

- Bénédiction nuptiale (Wedding blessing) was written for the Cavaillé-Coll instrument of the Madeleine Church.

- The 3 Preludes and Fugues Op. 99 are dedicated to Charles-Marie Widor, Alexandre Guilmant and Eugène Gigout, and the 3 Preludes and Fugues Op. 109 to Gabriel Fauré, Albert Périlhou and Henri Dallier. These works are by no means mere epigones of J.S. Bach. A purely techical reliance upon tradition is certainly present, but the splendour of the sonorities lifts Saint-Saëns entirely clear of it.
