Paul McCartney kicked off the Japan swing of his Out There! Tour Nov. 11 by adding several tunes from his "NEW" album, released in mid-October. The Japanese crowd got to hear live versions of "New," "Save Us," "Everybody Out There" and "Queenie Eye." These are the same four songs McCartney performed at the flash shows in Times Square and Covent Garden.
McCartney arrived in Japan Nov. 9, where, according to his website, thousands of fans greeted him. He did a Q&A for Japanese fans through the website. The first question, published Monday, was “"What are your favourite memories of Japan?" He answered, “Some of my favorite memories are staying at a traditional Japanese hotel in Kyoto, sleeping on the floor and then sitting around by the open fire in the morning. Also playing to fantastic Japanese audiences!" Other answers will be posted in coming weeks, the website said.
The soundcheck for the show, according to Jash's Paul McCartney page, included "Matchbox," "Things We Said Today" and "Blue Suede Shoes."
