The Field Of Blood is set in the Scottish cirty of Glasgow and centres on would be journalist Paddy Meehan who currently works as a copygirl working in a newspaper office. Paddy's ambition is to become an investigative journalist as he has strongly beleives that there have been miscarriages of justice and that reporters can sometimes be the only hope. She ends up seizing an opportunity to start her career after she becomes embroiled in a dark murder case.

The series is based on the popular novel by Denise Mina and adapted for television and directed by David Kane.
