Bob Dylan heeft een aantal raadselachtige bewegingen in zijn beroemde carrière gemaakt, maar de compilatie die zijn platenlabel onlangs vrijgegeven kan zo vreemd als wat hij ooit stak. 

 De compilatie, 50th Anniversary Collection, is een limited-edition, vier-CD set die alleen werd uitgebracht in Europa.  Het lijkt te zijn ontworpen door het label om een ​​recente wijziging in de Europese wetgeving auteursrecht te exploiteren. 

 De collectie is een plakboek van opnamen van de eerste jaren van Bob Dylan's carrière: unreleased thuis tapes, live optredens van Greenwich Village folk clubs en outtakes van de sessies voor zijn tweede studioalbum, The Freewheelin 'Bob Dylan.
