In Tom Clancy&#146;s Splinter Cell: Conviction zien we Sam Fisher in een rol die we niet gewend zijn. Zijn dochter Sarah is in een auto-ongeluk omgekomen, maar al snel krijgt hij het gevoel dat het ongeluk eigenlijk een moord is. Woedend als hij hierover is, besluit hij daarop te breken met zijn vertrouwde werkgever Third Echelon en zelf naar de waarheid op zoek te gaan.
