Post Description
Studio album released 1978, Bulgaria.
Reputed to be FSB- Formation Studio Balkaton’s best work.
This is really nice stuff starting off with a wonderful cosmic instrumental titled Dawn which leads in a fusion influenced piece- Morning followed by Three, the first track with vocals. Now ratteling off song titles in sequence never helps anyone, but in these first songs, the influences range from Eloy, Omega, Genesis and Camel to Greenslade and Brand X (without the the latter"s vurtuosity). Sounds good? It is and so is the rest of the album. As to be expected the vocals are in Bulgarian (hey- this was released at the height of the ‘Cold War’), but they are very well done which can’t be said for a lot of UK and North American progressive bands where to be honest, the vocalists (at least from this period) left much to be desired.
