Synopsis
This is a great Film from Director Eros Djaros, his first and last film. Best photography by George Kamarullah who shot exotic jungle panorama of Aceh at Sumatra island. Best Music Score by Idris Sardi. Tjoet Nja' Dhien is a great epic from Aceh. Tjoet Nja Dhien is a strong woman who fought to stop colonialism by Nederland in Aceh during 1887-1910. In the end of her struggle, she is betrayed by her chief army (Panglima Laot). She is arrested by Nederland in an old, sick and blind condition. To avoid and stop any struggle from her followers, Nederland moved her to Sumedang West Java where she is arrested. She died and was burried in Sumedang.
