This "Rockpalast" - show took place on 29th Nowember 1980 at the Kleine Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. 

Kaukonen founded Jefferson Airplane together with Paul Kaunter and Marty Balin and has been quoted
 as saying that the band name was based on his own nickname, Blind Thomas Jefferson Airplane, which
 reflects Jorma's love of the blues and specifically Blind Lemon Jefferson. Parallel to his membership with
 Jefferson Airplane, Jorma founded his own band, HOT TUNA, with which he tours to this day.
 Jorma Kaukonen was born in Washington, D.C. in 1940. Having moved to California, he accompanied
 Janis Joplin, among other, on guitar at her first minor shows in bars and small clubs. Jorma Kaukonen
 has been inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame.
