Founded in June 2004, Pink Visual evolved out of the formerly established TopBucks webmaster affiliate program, which gave Pink Visual the content and marketing resources to launch into the DVD market. Pink Visual currently has over 300 titles in its portfolio.[citation needed] Typically it releases eight to ten new titles monthly throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.[citation needed]

On February 4, 2009, Pink Visual offered a $10 discount on selected sites in "compensation for (the) Super Bowl porn mishap" in which Tucson, AZ area Comcast customers had their service interrupted for 30 seconds by an uncensored Pink Visual video.[1][2]

In September 2009, Pink Visual president, Allison Vivas, was selected by Newt Gingrich's group, American Solutions for Winning the Future to receive the group's "Entrepreneur of the Year" for 2009. The award offer was rescinded, presumably after Gingrich's group was informed regarding Pink Visual's background.[3] Vivas consequently turned the tables on Gingrich by offering him the "Family Values Porn Fan of the Year" award.[4]

Pink Visual president, Allison Vivas, was selected by Newsweek magazine to comment on their Decade In Rewind project as part of Newsweek's list of the decades biggest sex scandals
