Capercaillie have never been afraid to experiment, otherwise they wouldn't be where they are today, and this album is certainly no exception! Being a big capercaillie fan, when I first heard this CD I wasn't too sure about it, but since then has really grown on me, and now I love it! Working with Soul II Soul member Will Mowat, this album basically consists of remixes of songs from their Secret People album, as well as an impressive 10 minute 'widscreen' version of When You Return (Breisleach). I especially love the new versions of Grace and Pride and Crime Of Passion, the trouble is once you've heard the remixes the originals just don't sound the same! Only Capercaillie could do this and bring it off so successfully!
