                       Das Boot (Uncut) Part 1 (1981)

It is 1942.  The German submarine fleet is heavily engaged in the so called "Battle of the Atlantic".  Their mission, to harass and destroy Allied shipping thus cutting bital war supplies.  With better escorts of the Destroyer Class, however, German U-Boats have begun to take heavy losses.
This is the story of one such U-Boat crew examining how these submariners maintained their professionalism as soldiers, attempted to accomplish impossible missions, all the while attempting to understand and obey the ideology of the government under which they served. 


NOTE:  This is the 293 minute Uncut Edition of the film in two parts.

NOTE:  These xvids have dual audio tracks.  
Track 1 is the original German audio.  
Track 2 is the English dub.

English subtitles in Vobsub format are included.
