Having seen many of Jean Michel Jarre's concerts on video and fortunate enough to have attended the opening concert of The Lost City at Sun City, South Africa - this show ranks as the best yet ! 75 minutes of pure magic grace the screen as Jarre moves through the set of old and new pieces - the pyramid shaped stage coming alive with a carnival of delights on Calypso. This video is almost better than being there - you get to see everything at once. For old and new fans alike - this is one feast for the eyes and ears you do NOT want to miss out on ! Comment

This could never capture the experience of seeing the skyscrapers at La Defence Paris light up the night sky but it is a good record of (some) of what went on. It was a boiling 14th July and my three friends (and another 2.5 million people) waited in the streets of Paris for the countdown... I can't help thinking however that Jean could do with losing this director (Mike Mansfield), anyone who has seen the houston concert will know how dynamically this kind of event can be filmed.
