Creating his own fusion of rock, jazz, funk and shredded licks is Greek guitarist and composer Harry Kapeliaris on his CD entitled Journey To Light. A diverse, flowing collection of music, Kapeliaris balances his more energetic material with Satriani-esque flights of fancy, Benson-like riffs and occasional Holdsworthian legato lines. Using a wide variety of guitar tones to establish mood and color, he ensures each piece is a sonic adventure all its own. With track notes in Greek, you'll need your own translator to get further into the music, but the evidence is clear - the sounds rock with heart and soul.
