Covert Affairs - Seizoen 1


A young CIA trainee, Annie Walker, is mysteriously sent out into the field. Auggie Anderson, a blind agent, is Annie's guide in her new life. Annie is a new CIA agent sent out into the field because of her language skills (she can speak six different languages). Her first mission is to retrieve information from a Russian spy at a hotel. As the exchange starts, the informant is killed. Annie makes it out of the room only to forget to retrieve the intel. She goes back to retrieve it and does not believe the person who died is who they say they are. She investigates more only to get in trouble about protocol and using civilians to help on a case. Eventually the real spy emerges and almost kills Annie, but her boyfriend (Ben, whom she is looking for) helps her by killing the spy. She is not too sure if she saw him, so she tells Joan (her boss). Joan dismisses it and says that another agent got there just in time to save Annie. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Joan and Arthur know who Annie is and what her intentions are. They decide to keep her in the field in hopes that Ben will reemerge from wherever he is hiding.
