Lady Liuwa is the last lioness on Zambia's Liuwa Plain. She hasn't seen another lion in five years. Despite the odds stacked against her, she's perfected the art of survival. In 2005, her loneliness drove her to do something extraordinary ? she bonded with cameraman Herbert Brauer. An incredible relationship developed between man and beast, but Herbert knew she needed the company of her own kind. A massive project is under way to reintroduce lions to the Liuwa Plain. While translocation is difficult, there is hope for Africa?s loneliest lioness.
