De Engelse Ellie Goulding brak in 2010 door toen ze werd uitgeroepen tot BBC's Sound Of 2010. Tegelijkertijd won ze de British Critic's Choice Award voor meest veelbelovende nieuwkomer. Haar debuutalbum Lights kwam vervolgens direct op nummer 1 in de Britse albumlijst binnen en afgelopen jaar was ook de US aan de beurt waar Ellie met een dubbel platinum verkopend album stevig voet aan wal zette. 
Dit nieuwe album Halcyon Days  is een remixversie van het tweede album Halcyon.
