Post Description
The companion album to 2011's Christmas Symphony, Mannheim Steamroller's 2013 holiday collection Christmas Symphony II features more of the popular new age/pop-classical crossover/electro-prog outfit's songs reworked as orchestral recordings. As with the previous album, here we get 13 of Mannheim Steamroller's holiday recordings expanded upon with help from the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. These are essentially the same arrangements, but with some of the synthesizers and electronic sounds replaced by warm acoustic strings and percussion. Ultimately, Christmas Symphony II is yet another way for longtime Mannheim Steamroller fans, and newcomers alike, to enjoy these much-loved arrangements. Liner Note Author: Chip Davis.
