For generations the original FROGGER arcade game has delighted gamers of all ages, and that tradition continues with the release of FROGGER: ANCIENT SHADOW by Konami for the PLAYSTATION 2. Three-dimensional graphics and an involved story line bring this classic franchise into the twenty first century with an involved story and new challenges for the players to experience. Frogger now lives at his home in Firefly Swamp, and it is there that he uncovers a plot by a crocodile, Dr. Wani, to resurrect the evil forces that used to live in the swamp. Now, the player must help Frogger and his new friend Berry save their home as these forces try to destroy all of the frogs that live there. Just like before, the player must guide Frogger through the game by hopping through the swamp one jump at a time. The formula for the original game remains the same as Frogger must not only hop but dodge his way through the obstacles and puzzles he encounters. FROGGER: ANCIENT SHADOW is made up of seven levels, each of them with four sublevels that will provide players with hours of gaming fun. While this platform is obviously appealing to younger players, FROGGER: ANCIENT SHADOW is sure to please Frogger fans of all ages with its colorful graphics and involved storyline. The game also has a multiplayer mode that allows for up to four different players to immerse themselves in the Frogger world, making it a perfect party game.
