It's been a long time for Indonesian music to have a boys band. It is very hard for them to compete with solo singers and rock bands. And recently, Indonesia got a freshly new boys band called SMASH (some write the name as SM*SH). This group consists of 7 boys and from their style performance, you can tell they are very similar to the Korean boys band like Super Junior, etc. It is very difficult for new artist to be accepted by the Indonesian music enthusiast. You really have to be original in your music or your performance on stage. This happened to SMASH, so many Indonesian netizens critic their styles for not being original. Even their first single (I Heart You) has been criticized as a copy cat from a Korean song and Justin Bieber. So why don't you take a listen for yourself.
