William "Smokey" Robinson, Jr. (Detroit, 19 februari 1940) is een Amerikaanse R&B- en soulzanger. Robinson staat, samen met oprichter Berry Gordy, bekend als de belangrijkste vertegenwoordiger van platenlabel Motown. Hij was vicevoorzitter van Motown tussen 1961 en 1988.

Robinson heeft, zowel solo als als lid van The Miracles, zeventig Amerikaanse Top 40-hits gehad tussen 1959 en 1990. Met The Miracles, waar hij van 1955 tot 1972 deel van uitmaakte, heeft Robinson twee Amerikaanse nummer 1-hits gescoord: The Tears of a Clown en Love Machine, Part 1. In 1975 haalde zijn solohit Baby That's Backatcha de eerste plek in de Amerikaanse lijst.
