Vier leden van de eerste line-up van Renaissance [Jim McCarthy, John Hawken, Louis Cennamo en Jane Relf] besluiten in 1976 om de draad weer op te pakken en opnieuw Folk-prog te gaan maken. Onder de naam Illusion worden 2 albums gemaakt [Out of the Mist 1977 en Illusion 1978].
