Tuba: Eirik Gjerdevik - Eirik The Viking
Eirik Gjerdevik is a huge man with a personality and sound on his chosen instrument, the tuba, to match.
Eirik studied initially in Norway with Nils Nikolaisen before spending two years in Manchester with teachers Brian Kingsley and Stuart Roebuck. For the last 10 years, Eirik has continued to develop as a world-class tuba soloist with his mentor and friend Robert Tucci in Germany while holding the position of Principal Tuba with the Military Band of Western Norway.
