Spice Girls Live at Wembley Stadium (1998)
Spice Girls Live at Wembley Stadium is the DVD of pop band Spice Girls' tour, Spiceworld Tour, in 1998. The show was recorded at Wembley Stadium on the 20th of September and was released on the 24th of November, 1998.
A sort of farewell concert to the fans as the "Spice" machine that swept the country 2 years previously (with the release of debut single "Wannabe") never was the same again after this concert and xmas single goodbye which followed the tour. Geri may have left the group by the time this show was filmed but by heck do the remaining four girls (POSH, SCARY, BABY AND SPORTY) pull out all the stops to put on one amazing show for a sold out Wembley Stadium. Full of their screaming fans, the shows full of all the hit singles they had at the time, album tracks from their no.1 albums "Spice" and "Spiceworld" (which are just as good as their singles), outstanding vocals from Mel C (just watch the end of "Too Much" to see my point), suprises like them stripping off for song "Naked" and full of that energy we came to know and love from the Spice Girls at an all time high here from the girls make this one hell of an amazing concert! And if you're not up out your seat dancing around your living room by the time the encores arrived in the shape of (the best album track from any of the Spice Girl albums in my view ) "Never Give Up On The Good Times" and a cover of Sister Sledge's "We Are Family" you must be dead! The concert sticks 2 fingers up to the press who where slagging the group of at the time, as if to say "knowone destroys us, where the Spice Girls and nothing can bring us down" and this show proves just that!! As by the time the girls leave that stage you'll be screaming at your telly for more. With Mel C singing the line "Spice Girls Forever" in parts of song "Viva Forever" and final song of the concert "We Are Family" is the girls making one final attempt to prove that "friendship never ends no matter what" and you'll believe it after watching this DVD! It also Show's to the World why they didn't need Geri in the group after all! Even though the truth of the matter was it was down hill for the Spice Girls after there next single "Goodbye" which followed the end of this tour.
