When Jing hears that swordsman Cai (Tien Peng) has acquired the mystical Purple Light Sword after winning an epic martial arts duel against Feng (Tang Wei), he launches a dastardly plan to get the sword himself. He sends one henchman to pose as Feng and kill Cai's master, and another to pose as Cai and kill Feng's master, throwing the martial arts world into chaos.
