Post Description

Last release: Version 2.5.0.0
Release notes version 2.5.0.0:
New features and changes:
Modified the size, so it fits on most desktops, resizing is still no option.
Now it's possible to cancel the conversion.
Removed update check on start, now you can check and update manually.
Added back the depth option, please some feedback on this. I tried it at +3 (=toward you) and looked oke.
Bugfix:
Fix for the XP users where the final sup or idx/sub isn't created.
Fix for 25fps, I noticed that the timelines weren't correct when using this framerate.

First you open the .srt subtitles file and select the output directory.

Select the fonttype and fontsize. I use Arial Narrow, because on SBS films, the font gets stretched when enabling 3D.
The result is a pretty normal Arial font.

Select the character table of your subtitle, needed for special characters.

Select where you want the subtitles to be used for, SideBySide, Over/Under or just 2D. The last one is for normal films, not 3D films.

You MUST select the correct framerate for the subtitles. In most cases this is 23,976fps.

Select the language of your subtitles. This is for knowing the language of the subtitle stream when playing the movie.

Set forced or not forced. When you select forced, the subtitles will be enabled automatic when playing the movie.
Can be shutoff during movie playback. Note that it's not like some other programs do, burning the subs in the movie.

Set your desired subtitles position. To see the subtitles, first click on the 'Check' button.
When you have a 21:9 movie, you can click on the button below '21:9' and a picture of a 21:9 movie will be shown.
You can position the subtitles based on that image.
For 21:9 movies I recommend to set this position just above the black border.

Set the border thickness. The default 5, is a pretty nice border size.

To have the best quality, set the Quality of the subtitles to High. Re-encoding the subtitles will take longer, but the result is much better than the Low quality.

You can set the 'Delete PNG files' to 'No', if you have some plans with the generated XML and PNG files.

Select the output format.
- If you want to merge the subtitles into the MKV stream, you MUST select VobSub (idx/sub) and use mkvtoolnix to merge the subtitles.
- If you want to create a bluray image or disk, select the Blu-ray sup output and use txmuxer to create the bluray folders.
Note that the VobSub format has pretty good quality, but due to it's limitations it not as good as the Bluray format.

Click on the Convert button to start the creation of the subtitles.
