Post Description
The untitled and unreleased eleventh album (working title: Resurrection) by American recording artist Michael Jackson was recorded between 2001 and 2009 with over several recording sessions after the release of Invincible.
The original recording sessions were scrapped in 2005 following after Jackson's trial and Jackson began work on his next album with will.i.am in 2006 for a 2007 release, before it moved to August 2008 to mark his 50th birthday and ultimately moved it to 2009 to support the This Is It concert series. The only album to feature new material from the singer after Invincible was Thriller 25 in 2008, which contained five new versions of the songs "The Girl is Mine", "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)", "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'", "Billie Jean" and "Beat It".
It was left unreleased due to Jackson's death in June 25, 2009 but some songs managed to appear in his posthumous albums Michael and Xscape.
