Weapons of Desperation: German Frogmen and Midget Submarines of the Second World War
This is a well-written book about a little known subject. The focus is more on the men than the machines, and a good attempt is made to identify and describe the personalities that shaped the K-Verband. The author has assembled material from a wide range of sources, and has included extensive citations to allow his sources to be traced. The only drawback with this book, is that there are very few diagrams, maps or tables etc in the book, and there are many places where a picture would have been worth more than a thousand words. A good read, and well worth the money.
Review:
Covers a little known subject of the Second world war well written and inciteful, this is a subject more books should be written about (German Special Forces) would recommmend this book to anyone interested in the subject
